Your roommate yelps as I drop her, and I groan, rubbing my left cheek.
“What the fuck was that?” I reach to help her up, but she slaps my hand away and crawls back like a crab, face crimson.
“Don’t touch me.” Her shout draws a few pacing faces. I stand straight and rub the back of my head innocently and shrug at them. I didn’t do anything, but nowadays I can’t be too careful. Especially if she makes up stories with a hint of truth to them.
“I don’t care what you think I was doing. It had nothing to do with you.” Tears well in her eyes, though whether from hitting her head on the ground or embarrassment, I’m not sure. I don’t know what she is talking about.
“I’m sorry if I took Tachibana Sensei’s attention away from you. She should still be in her office if you want to go back and talk with her.” Please, be my guest.
She looks at me like I have a second head. “That’s still no reason to slap me for trying to help you up.”
“I wouldn’t have fallen if you hadn’t been chasing me. Pervert.” As she glares, a few more bystanders slow and stare at me.
“What the fuck are you talking about? I just wanted to ask you something,” I force through gritted teeth.
“Not interested. So, bye.” She stands and dusts herself off, throwing her bag over her head and shoulder. She turns quickly to run, but I grab her arm and spin her around. Catching her slapping arm in my hand, I smirk.
“Please, stop doing that.” I’ve never wanted to hit a girl before, but this bitch is making me second guess. I slowly ease my grip on her arms and raise my palms placatingly. “I really need your help. I’ve tried everything on my own and there’s no one else who can help me.”
With every word, she seems to grow redder. What is this girl’s problem? “I can wait for you if you need to talk to Tachibana Sensei first.”
Again she looks at me as if she doesn’t understand. I know I’m speaking English, so this girl must be an airheaded ditz. “Hello in there?”
I knock on her forehead and something seems to click into place. Maybe she works like an old box T.V. You smack it to make the picture clearer when it gets fuzzy.
Her eyes grow wide and I’m pretty sure I see steam coming out of her ears before she buries her face in her mittens. “Oh, I’m so stupid.”
Now I’m the one with the bewildered look as she peeks at me and forces a laugh. She raises her face and looks away from me, blowing air and waving her face with her hands. This bitch is crazy.
“You okay now?” I watch her closely and catch her eye. She pinches her eyes shut briefly and redoubles her effort to cool her face off.
“Yeah. I’m fine. I just thought you were thinking about something else.”
I tilt my head to the side a bit confused, and she quickly rushes on to keep me from thinking. “I don’t need to talk to Tachibana Sensei anymore. You wanted to ask me something?”
“Yeah. You remember that girl you were looking for last week when you came to the library?”
“Yeah, my roommate?” She looks at me with suspicion for some reason, but I plow ahead.
“Would you be able to introduce me?” I feel pathetic, but I have no other choice. I haven’t found you in over a week, and I’d never seen you in the first months of the semester. I have to meet you.
“Why?” She still seems suspicious. What is so weird about asking to be introduced?
“I want to meet her.” Now I’m wondering if this girl can even help. Did Dory forget what we were talking about? Or was she going to forget who we were talking about?
“Okay.” She shrugs and turns away. I guess expecting me to follow.
“Oh. Thanks.” I take a big step to stay in stride right behind her and march over the mud where students have trampled the lawn in a path right to the stairs.
As we reach the steps leading into the dorm, her coat rises to reveal a nice round ass in black jeans. I look higher to avoid staring and for a moment, I think I see a smirk on her face in the window. She scans her id, unlocking the door and leads me to the staircase inside.
“Like the view?” She calls back as she turns on the landing to switch back above. I look away, refusing to admit I did. “Men.” She giggles and stalks up the stairs to my floor and slips through, letting the door shut in my face though I catch it.
“I didn’t know we lived on the same floor.” I follow her into the third floor lounge where a few students are chatting on the couches.
“Aren’t you in for a surprise, then?” She mutters, perhaps not intending for me to hear. She turns down my hall and stops in front of my room. She turns to the door across the hall and turns the handle.
“You have got to be fucking kidding me.”
She steps in and looks over her shoulder playfully. “Want to come in?” She throws herself onto her bed, sprawling across the unmade bed in a slightly seductive pose.
I roll my eyes and lean through the doorway cautiously.
“She’s not here, but now you know where to find her.” She whips out her phone and lets her bag slide to the floor with a dull thump, landing on a pile of dirty clothes, including some rather racy lingerie.
I clear my throat to get her attention and eye her intimates. She leans over the edge of her bed and leaps off the bed to hide them under it, blushing furiously. “Don’t even think about it.”
“I’m not.” I raise my hands and drop my head submissively, but it does nothing to assuage her. As I lift my chin, our eyes meet and despite her anger, I see embarrassment in her eyes.
“You’re thinking about it.” She accuses me and clenches her fists down at her sides cutely.
“I didn’t even see enough of what it was to imagine.” I have a really good imagination, even with partial information.
She stalks forward with her hand rising to strike and trips over the corner of her desk. She falls to her hands and knees as something I hadn’t noticed falls between us. From it’s perch on top of her shelves a pink jelly dildo lands suction cup down on a plastic folder. The well-loved phallus wiggles as it settles between us, standing to attention a few inches from her mortified face.
“Is that yours or. . . ?”
“Get! Out!” She screams and slams the door in my face. I step back fast enough to avoid a broken nose and read your names on the door.
“Too bad I don’t know which one.”
