The dogs of darkness are loose again. Doubt and Regret and Fear, they’ve laid snarling in the corners of my mind, waiting their time to strike.
She finds my trembling shell and knows I am at war within. Embracing my nakedness with her own, she feeds me warmth. She tastes my flesh, drinks from my core, ministers me with her healing passion. My body writhes and burns beneath her dexterous caresses till the beasts are finally driven back, fleeing before the pure white light of Love’s release.
This skirmish won, in a battle never over, she is again my salvation.
