I find airports so exciting. It’s that sense of anticipation and the romantic thrill of journeys to far flung exotic places. Plus I just managed to buy a lovely Omega de Ville for less than two thousand pounds.
As a reward for my team building and management skills, I’m off for a long weekend in Monte Carlo. Palace du Casino, get ready to roll.
I sit back in my seat as the powerful jet engines lift us effortlessly off the runway and commence the climb to thirty thousand feet. Admittedly I’m no Amy Johnson, but the fear of flying has never featured on my radar. Though I sense the young lady in the adjacent seat is less sanguine.
“You alright, hun?”
She breathes deeply. “Yes, I’ve never flown before. I’m terrified of…”
“Plunging into the ocean?”
“… being sick.”
I pat her stockinged thigh. It is meant to be a brief comforting gesture. But she grabs my hand like a vice, so I’m forced to leave it there.
“I’m Victoria.”
“I’m Sarah. I won this trip in a competition. You had to put the attractions of Monte Carlo in order and write an original slogan.”
As I prepare to ask the obvious question she turns to me.
“I don’t feel very well, Victoria.”
I slip my arm around her. Her head settles against my breast. I stroke her hair. My right nipple stiffens to the size of a boiled sweet.
“Would you like a barley sugar to suck on?” Instead of my tit, I almost add.
“I think I need to go to the ladies. Will you come with me?”
As the plane has now reached its cruising speed and altitude we are free to make our way towards row eighteen. I hold open the door to allow her to pass and find myself pulled in after.
“This is cosy, isn’t it Victoria?”
I can only agree. She unbuttons my crisp Chanel blouse. I feel her hot breath on my neck.
“Look, your other nipple has grown too. Perhaps I would like something to suck on, if the offer is still there.”
I squash her blonde head against my plump pillows.
“So beautiful.” She comes up for air.
“Monte Carlo: Beauty you can bank on.”
“I’m sorry?”
“That was my slogan.”
As her fingers penetrate my own safety deposit box, I wonder if the Mile High Club luggage label will clash with my Tumi Vapor suitcase.
