If you pay close attention, and I’m very sure you do,
You’ll discover I am no one you can easily pooh-pooh.
My body’s very finely tuned as is my intellect.
If I’ve any faults at all, they’re too small to detect.
My beauty and my genius are so obvious to see,
I feel obliged to hide behind a mask of modesty.
I only look down my nose when speaking to a runt.
Yet ev’rybody says I’m such an egotistical cunt!
And I can’t think why!
The verses I have composed, as any one can see,
In both subject and authorship show the best of me.
‘Exquisite beauty lines’ describes both figure and my text.
Whether under sheets or folio, men yearn for what comes next.
Juggling charm, wit and beauty is such a trying stunt.
Yet ev’rybody says I’m such an egotistical cunt!
And I can’t think why!
I don’t act condescending, though no one could deride,
My innate superiority which I do my best to hide.
It is surely not my fault men so easily recognize
My best side is any side on which they cast their eyes.
It’s only the unworthy, pathetic men I shunt,
Yet ev’rybody says I’m such an egotistical cunt!
And I can’t think why!
Chorus: She can’t think why!
