Perfect

A car whips down the road, whirring, wind flying through your auburn locks. It’s just cool enough to not be summer but not quite autumn, seasons suspended.

You look at me and your eyes are brimming with love. I see the ocean in them. You lean over and gently kiss my cheek for no reason, which is the best reason of all.

Your hand squeezes mine as we drive at night, the streets glowing, turning up the music, a song we both love that takes on new meanings as the years go by.

Few things are perfect, but this is.
