you sit across from me.
A freshening breeze, as candle lights dance,
here on my balcony.
You sigh content, you stretch your arms,
laying your hands in mine.
I squeeze them tight, so happy that you
are now with me all the time
If this is only a dream, wake me up now,
cos I wouldn’t know what to do.
But you squeeze my hands back and I know that it’s real,
that I really do have you.
“That diner was lovely, I’m so lucky with you,”
your voice sounding sweet in my ear.
Feeling your foot on my thigh, sliding up slowly,
“Now what’s for dessert, my dear?”
The passion in your eyes, blazing like fire,
is too irresistible to me.
“Well I guess my baby”, as I stand up slowly,
“You just have to wait and see.”
You’re smiling bright as you watch me come closer,
start feeling all fuzzy and warm.
I stretch my arms out, lifting you up,
carrying you in my arms.
As darkness takes over and candles blow out,
I carry you softly inside.
Two souls become one as our bodies are melting,
all the way through the night.
