My Silly Friend

Font Size

My silly lady friend stopped by,
My silly little friend,
My darling friend who is away so often now
Living her life.
Working,
Studying,
And loving.
And being the precious jewel she is
To the world.

And to me.

She stops by when she can,
When the world allows,
When her life
Allows her the time.

And sometimes she spends the time with me.
With me,
The one who adores her little butt.

The one who loves her
Without any stipulations whatsoever, don’t you know.

I adore her.

Life is so cruel, sometimes.
You know?

Life can be cruel.

She is inexperienced in some ways,
But bright,
Oh so bright.
Like a shining star,
Or sun,
In her veritable brightness
Indeed.

So smart is my friend

She understands we could never be.
Even if I,
This mature man,
Adores her silly butt,
Adores her completely,
Soul and heart complete.

We can never be.

It will never erase the love that fills the heart of this simple man.
This man
Who loves this little woman,
This complex and complete manifestation of love.
My darling.

My joy.

My simple completion of
A life
Incomplete.

She is,
And she will ever be,
As long as she allows me to be
Me.

Her protector,
Her never judgmental friend,
Her once and future king,
Her knight.

Is this too much to ask.
To be allowed to be all that she may need me to be.
To simply be.
