Love From A Shattered Heart

"Lying, the bandage for a shattered heart. Truth is, once the heart is shattered, it will no longer be whole."

Man in the mirror staring back,
Deep sorrow hollow reflects on those blacks.
Your tender hands, your sweeten breaths,
Now replaced with two moist paths.

Soul’s empty, excitement to life ceased.
Splashing water mixed with tears.
Hanging up a laying crescent moon,
Yesterday’s lie again resumes.

“Hanging on, moving on,”
The old sayings I once frown upon,
They now guide me through the dawn.
Knowing they are the only way,

To help us through each passing day.
You lie to him; I lie to me.
The flames in us slowly dim.

Bury inside, a hidden roar,
“We know no love anymore.”
