This is my secret place, the verdant hollow above the flowered meadow.
I pause here on my walks, seeking solace from life’s loneliness in this feral hideaway.
“Who are you?” I ask when she appears in the tangled gap, silhouetted by the sun.
“The one you wished would find you.”
A rising wind swirls up as we embrace, each inflamed by the others yearning.
Hard and hot it furies now as we feast upon body and soul, I of earth, her, the stars.
The ground beneath us quivers and quakes, radiating out our wailing release as we become one forever.
