I’d like to write a poem
About feelings I can’t hide
I need to write down in words
How I’m feeling deep inside
My poem would be dedicated
With love from me to you
It would help me to express myself
And say so much to you
A poem to tell you everything
I’m feeling in my heart
When it comes to writing poems
I don’t know where to start
I’d say how much you mean to me
And hope we never part
I get halfway through the first verse
Then go back to the start
Night time comes you fall asleep
I lay here by your side
The words and rhymes all come to me
About what I feel inside
Must hold those thoughts till morning
I think inside my brain
When daylight breaks my poems gone
I have to start again
I need to write stuff down I think
As it comes into my head
Not lay awake half the night
Turning in my bed
So much I need to say to you
But my writing hand is still
Poetic words won’t come to me
I think they never will
I’m going to throw away the poem
And tell you to your face
You are my very everything
I’m in a happy place
I love you now and always will
You’re my life I have to say
I will love you babe forever
Until my dying day
