He Calls Her Priceless

"Priceless"

Font Size

Dormant, she sleeps
until awakened by
One who steps in
through vision
and dreams

Dream’s Master
He calls her
unto Himself
Neither slave nor
a strumpet is she

Then gently she’s set
upon potter’s wheel
Again, with a sigh
must He mold, sift
and shape

Tools now by His side
unseen by the common
He begins, steadfast in
mercy and grace

Undaunting this task
Quest now set in love
skilled Master’s stripe
each stroke with it
brings true understanding

Many a time brought
to nothing then rebuilt
Cast in furnace affliction
Veracity proving her
true

Tenacious potter continues
Love never ending ’til
perfection in beauty
she stands

Called to be
long before even
that of her birth
for such a time
as this

My daughter, arise
Seat yourself
in this kingdom
wherein lay secrets
the annals of man

His love measures
priceless her worth
A treasure, that far
above rubies and gold

Drawn there a plumbline
in an unseeing world
Where standards are higher
therein, all eternity waits

As destiny calls
a diadem glitters bright
On shores of humbled compassion
with unyielding grace acknowledged
no longer Princess but a Queen
