The universe no longer expanded.
Galaxies, nebulae, even the stars themselves,
Gone in the blink of an eye,
Or the meeting of flesh upon flesh.
Once there had been a world and people,
Now in the last minutes they had evaporated from my mind,
Gradually diminishing.
The town and people I knew. Gone.
Faded along with the neighbourhood.
Relations, friends; melted to nothing.
Fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters; ceased.
The house and garden, thinning like smoke,
Till at last one small room and two single persons.
Even then the laws are still defied.
A bed.
Two bodies,
Become one.
The universe no match for passion’s energy.
We are all,
All is we…
