“Alyssa?” No answer.
She couldn’t have left. It was only — she glanced over at the clock on the wall. Nine. She had to work.
Carmen knew Alyssa worked early on Saturday mornings. She figured Alyssa spent the night and snuck out early that morning without waking her. She got up off the bed, wrapping the blanket like a towel around her naked body. She went into the living room to get her phone off the coffee table. When she glanced at the sofa, she grinned, remembering how last night began. Grabbing her phone and its charger, Carmen went back into her bedroom and immediately called Alyssa. It rang a few times before Alyssa’s voice came on.
“Hi, you’ve reached Alyssa Smith. I’m not available right now—”
Carmen listened to the greeting, half-smiling at the sound of Alyssa’s formal voice. When the greeting ended, Carmen began talking. She stumbled and stammered through her message, not really knowing what to say. She actually expected Alyssa to answer the phone. Why would she answer the phone at work? Even if she did, what the hell were you going to say? Carmen remembered she was leaving a voicemail and her thoughts only sounded like a long, awkward silence over the phone. “Anyway, call me when you get this, please,” she ended the message, “See you later.”
Carmen touched the ‘end call’ button on her phone’s screen and threw it across the bed. She lied back down. “Well, you couldn’t have sounded any dumber,” she said to herself, shaking her head. Carmen closed her eyes, hoping that she could instantly forget about the mishap. Instead she thought of Alyssa frowning as the message played back. She sighed, “So, so stupid.”
Carmen opened her eyes, looked around at the room again, and then at her bed. Her comforter was slightly crumpled, and twisted. Not in the smoothed out, neat condition she left it in yesterday morning. She turned her head and her nose got a whiff of a familiar scent. She rolled on her side a little so she could press her nose on the spot at a closer angle.
It was Alyssa’s perfume.
Carmen took a sharp breath in, trying to take in as much of the sweet smell as she possibly could. She shifted to lie flat on her back again. The scent triggered more memories from last night and Carmen closed her eyes as if she was watching a movie. First, Alyssa’s smile and laugh came into focus. Then her soft and supple lips. Carmen imagined kissing her. She imagined Alyssa’s tongue slowly moving down Carmen’s belly while staring up into her eyes…
Carmen jumped when she heard her phone ring. She was so engrossed in her fantasy/memory of Alyssa that everything around her went silent until the ringtone snapped her out of the trance. She reached across the bed, hoping it would be Alyssa calling. It wasn’t.
“Hey, Shannon. What’s up?”
“I want to know every single detail. Don’t leave out a thing.”
“What?”
“Don’t play dumb with me, missy! You know what I’m talking about. I want to know what happened between you and Alyssa. Tell me everything,” Shannon pressed.
“Shannon,” Carmen sighed. Shannon was Carmen’s best friend but she was also very meddlesome. “There is nothing to tell.”
“You’re lying.”
“I’m no—”
“Carmen,” Shannon cut her off before she could finish, “I’ve known you long enough to know when you even sound like you’re lying,” she laughed. “Now, spill it!”
Carmen thought for a moment that maybe she shouldn’t tell Shannon about last night, but she knew Shannon would keep prodding. Besides, they had been friends since they were ten and shared everything with each other. Shannon was the only person who knew how Carmen felt about Alyssa. She was going to know what happened eventually.
“Okay, okay,” Carmen sighed, sitting up on her bed. “There is something to tell.”
“I knew it!” Shannon squealed. “Let’s go. Spill the beans!”
Carmen chuckled at her excitement. “Well, we went to Tavern, as usual, for happy hour. We had a couple of drinks—”
Shannon interrupted once more. “Sweetie, spare me the boring details and get to the good stuff. What happened when you told her that you had feelings for her?” She was always the one to get straight to the point.
“Well, it was here at my place. We were supposed to be watching a movie but we just talked the whole time. And when I finally got up enough courage, I told her that I think I liked her as more than just a friend,” Carmen paused. “One thing led to another. We started kissing—”
“Wait, whoa! Back up! One thing led to another?” Shannon repeated incredulously. “What the hell was the one thing that led to kissing?!”
“Really?” Carmen laughed and shook her head. “I don’t know. After I said that I liked her, it just felt like a huge relief.”
“Right. And what did she say?”
“Not much. She just said she was surprised and that she really cared about me,” Carmen paused again, trying to remember the details. “To be honest, she didn’t say too much because, well, I kind of kissed her,” Carmen clinched her eyes closed and waited for a response.
“You kissed her?” Shannon asked in disbelief.
“Yeah,” Carmen confirmed. “It just happened! I don’t—I don’t know what came over me. I just really wanted to kiss her. And…she kissed me back.”
“Oh shit! You little vixen!” Shannon yelled and teased.
Carmen chuckled. “Shut up.”
“Hey, I’m not the one who had a make-out session with my friend, okay? I mean you’re cute and all, but—” She laughed mid-sentence.
“Very funny,” Carmen laid the sarcasm on thick. “You’re a real comedian.”
“Whatever,” Shannon ignored her, “so, what happened after you made out? Are you guys together now or what?”
“Not exactly.”
“What happened? Did she just leave without talking to you about everything?”
“No.”
“What?” Shannon sounded genuinely confused. “Well, what the hell happened?”
“Well, umm,” Carmen stammered trying to answer. “Well, we kissed and umm, we kept kissing. And uhhh—”
Shannon’s loud gasp cut Carmen off again. “You didn’t! YOU DID NOT!”
Carmen’s silence spoke volumes.
“Oh my god! WHAT?! You had sex with her?!” She was screaming now. “Just last week you weren’t even sure if you were into girls, now you’re fucking them?!”
Carmen rolled her eyes. “I hate you.”
“Man, you have some big balls!” Shannon’s voice was still loud. “And you must have a lot of game if you pulled Alyssa that quickly.”
“I didn’t ‘pull’ her,” Carmen defended, “it just happened. I didn’t plan on it going that far.”
“Uh huh, sure,” Shannon paused for a second then chuckled. “So, vixen, how was it?”
“Okay, that’s enough,” Carmen decided that’s where the conversation needed to end. She was getting more and more embarrassed. “I have to go.”
“Don’t think you’re getting out of this, Carmen. We will finish this later.” Shannon sounded confident.
“Yeah, okay.” Carmen definitely wasn’t ready to tell Shannon about that part of last night, no matter how close they were. What she shared with Alyssa seemed sacred, just between the two of them. “I love you, but I need to shower.”
“I’m sure you do,” Shannon chuckled.
“Ugh. Goodbye!”
“Ha! Bye!”
Carmen ended the call and immediately got up off the bed, letting the blanket fall to the floor. She walked into her bathroom, which was bright from the sun shining through the skylight window. She turned on the faucet in her tub, quickly turning the knob for the showerhead. As the water got hotter, she thought about how she got slightly aroused earlier just thinking about Alyssa. Then she thought about her earlier voicemail.
Carmen went back to her bed and grabbed her phone. She called Alyssa again, this time sure of what she would say.
******************************************************************************
Alyssa yawned at her desk and looked at the time on the bottom of her computer screen.
9:03. Arrrggh, three more hours to go.
She had only been at work for two hours but had been wide awake since five o’clock this morning and practically up since three. Once she left Carmen’s apartment, she went home, took a shower, and got in bed. Though, she had a difficult time sleeping. She couldn’t stop thinking about Carmen and their passionate night together. Every detail replayed in her mind. Every touch. Every kiss. This morning, Alyssa had decided that whatever they shared, last night was the end of it. But as one part of her brain swore to forget Carmen, another part kept thinking about her. A warm tingle ran through her every time she thought of Carmen’s lips. Her heart skipped a beat every time Carmen’s voice echoed in her head, “I want you.” Yet, she kept repeating to herself, “Alyssa, you can’t do this. Don’t fall for her.”
As if she had thought Carmen into existence, Alyssa’s phone buzzed on the desk and she saw that it was Carmen calling. Her internal conflict flared up once more. She turned her head away, trying to ignore the buzzing but then decided to pick up the phone, her heart beginning to race as she reached to accept Carmen’s call. Just then she heard a knock at her door.
“Come in.”
Her co-worker, Brent, stepped in. “Hey, we got that meeting in two minutes. You ready?”
“Yeah.” Alyssa glanced back down at her phone. It had already gone to voicemail. “I’m coming right now.” She had dodged that bullet for now. She grabbed her planner and a pen, along with her phone, then got up from her desk to head for the door.
“Do anything fun last night?” Brent asked.
“No, not really. Just hung out with a friend.” Alyssa gave a fake smile to go with the lie.
Alyssa worked at Canton X Productions, an event productions and planning firm. Every Saturday morning, she and her co-workers came in to make sure the weekend and upcoming events that her firm hosted were running on schedule. They only had a meeting when something about an event had to be changed. Alyssa hoped it wouldn’t last long. She and Brent entered the conference room and hurried to two seats that were at the far end of the long, glass table, near the back corner of the room. Her supervisor began talking just as Alyssa sat down. She quickly realized that the event being discussed was one of the few she hadn’t been involved with. She groaned a little, getting ready to pretend like she was paying attention for however long. It didn’t take her long to start daydreaming.
After what seemed like an eternity, Alyssa jumped a little when her phone buzzed in her lap. She glanced down. It was Carmen again. And it was only nine thirty-five. “Have we really only been in this meeting for thirty minutes?” she whispered to Brent.
He rolled his eyes, “Let’s pray it ends before we die.”
Alyssa chuckled quietly. She reached down and touched the ignore button on her phone’s screen. At least the meeting forced her to make a decision. Alyssa looked back up, feigned attention. Only five minutes later, her phone buzzed again. It was a text from Carmen.
A confused look came over Alyssa’s face. She wondered if it was an emergency but she didn’t want to be too distracted from the meeting just in case her supervisor asked her something. So she ignored the text and decided to look at it later. Her phone buzzed a second time, a third almost immediately followed. Alyssa looked down. It was two more texts from Carmen.
Okay, she knows I’m at work? Why does she keep texting me?
Alyssa picked up her phone, still keeping it slightly under the table, and unlocked it. She went to her messages, saw three new texts from Carmen, and opened them. The first one read:
Hey. Sorry for calling while you’re at work. Just really wanted to hear your voice.
Alyssa smiled and started reading the second message:
And I really need to get this off my chest
Alyssa’s smile went away and she got nervous. She reluctantly started the third text:
I can’t stop thinking about you. I keep thinking about how I felt when we kissed & how your fingers felt on me. Inside me. I keep thinking about how your tongue felt and how you taste. Just the thought of you makes me excited. I need to see you again. Maybe for lunch? Call me when you’re free.
Alyssa released a deep sigh as she finished the text. Carmen’s words flooded her with a wave of emotions and memories of their rendezvous. Her heart had sped up and all of sudden her body shivered as a rush of adrenaline went through it.
“You okay?” Brent leaned over with a concerned look on his face.
“Huh, what?” Alyssa couldn’t quite hear him at first. Carmen’s words had transported her into another world.
He glanced down at Alyssa’s phone. “Is everything okay?”
She quickly pressed the side button to lock the phone and darken the screen. “Yeah, everything’s fine.” Alyssa sat back and lifted her head up but she could no longer fake as if she was paying attention. Carmen controlled her thoughts.
The meeting ended about twenty minutes later and Alyssa quickly got up, making a bee-line towards the door. She thought she had heard someone call her name but didn’t stop to check. She avoided eye contact with everyone she passed so she wouldn’t be stopped on her way. Once she got to her office, she went in, closed the door and sat down at her desk. She lifted up the phone and unlocked it, the screen still on Carmen’s messages. “I keep thinking about how your tongue felt on me and how you taste.”
Alyssa became aroused and she was a little shocked by it. She closed her eyes and thought about how Carmen pleaded with her last night, whispering “I want you” in her ear. The words had some type of spell over Alyssa. Replaying them now, she could feel herself getting wet.
How am I going to forget this girl if a fucking text makes me horny? Alyssa thought to herself.
Just then, there was a knock on her door. Alyssa jumped, startled by the sound. “Yeah? Come in.”
Brent again. “Dude, you left the meeting so fast, you forgot your daily planner.”
“Oh,” Alyssa said, “thanks, I appreciate it.” She reached out her hand to grab the book as Brent brought it over.
“No problem.” He nodded and left her office. As soon as he left, Alyssa picked up her phone and called Carmen. She answered after the first ring.
“Hey!”
“Hi.” Alyssa smiled. Hearing Carmen’s voice made her heart skip.
“How’s your morning been?” Carmen sounded so upbeat; Alyssa could tell she was smiling over the phone too.
“Good. Nothing spectacular happening at work. How about you?”
“It’s been okay,” Carmen started, “but it did kind of suck at first.”
“Why?”
“Because you weren’t there this morning.”
“Oh. I’m sorry, I had to work.” Alyssa hoped Carmen didn’t notice that she left much earlier that morning.
“I know. I just—I just missed you.”
Alyssa couldn’t stop herself from grinning. The voice in her head, cautioning and warning her not to fall for Carmen, couldn’t stop Alyssa from saying, “I missed you too.”
There was a few seconds of silence.
“So, you got my text?” Carmen asked.
“I did.”
“And?”
“And,” Alyssa paused, “I want to see you.” Trying to avoid Carmen was useless.
“I want to see you too.”
Alyssa smiled. “I get off work at noon. You still want to get lunch?”
“Yeah but it will have to be a bit later. I have to take care of some things at the studio first. Maybe one o’clock?”
“Fine with me.” The sooner Alyssa saw Carmen, the better. She was willing to be patient though. “Let’s go to Boathouse. It’s beautiful outside; we can sit by the water.”
“Okay!” Carmen sounded excited. “I can’t wait to see you.”
“Me either.” Alyssa said to her. “I’ll see you soon.”
When she hung up the phone, Alyssa glanced down at the clock on her computer again. 10:15. Three hours. She had started her morning sure that she would have to stop seeing Carmen. Maybe even stop being friends with her. Now, she was looking forward to their lunch date. There was still a voice yelling to Alyssa “No! Don’t do it!” But the voice grew smaller and smaller as time went on and Alyssa got more and more excited about seeing Carmen again.
******************************************************************************
When Alyssa got to the restaurant, she saw that Carmen had already gotten a table out on the veranda. Alyssa walked over to meet Carmen who was looking down at a menu at first. When she looked up and smiled, Alyssa’s breath was instantly taken away. She had known Carmen for a little over a year, but all of sudden, she looked different. Her caramel skin was radiant and Alyssa couldn’t figure out if it was the sun that illuminated off her body or if Carmen just always had some natural glow. She had on a red sundress with floral print that flowed above her knees but hugged her chest. Carmen’s shoulder length, golden-brown hair flowed and blew with the breeze as she stood up to hug Alyssa.
“Hey, you.” Carmen smiled, and then embraced Alyssa. The moment she wrapped her arms around Carmen, Alyssa’s body warmed and she felt like she would melt right to the floor. Carmen felt the same, along with an electric chill that went through her spine.
“Hey, yourself.” When they parted, their eyes met and Alyssa wanted so badly to kiss her but refrained somehow. She only smiled and shook her head.
“What?” Carmen asked.
“I think I’m a bit underdressed.” Alyssa stepped back and looked down at her skinny jeans, t-shirt and black blazer outfit which she thought was inferior to Carmen’s dress.
“Oh, please,” Carmen dismissed her with a wave. “I just threw this on. No big deal.” She shrugged and looked down, clearly blushing.
They both sat down and Alyssa just smiled and stared at Carmen. “Well, you look beautiful.” Alyssa continued to look into her hazel eyes, assuring Carmen that it wasn’t just a random compliment.
Carmen understood and she smiled back. “Thank you.”
If it wasn’t for the waiter doing his job and interrupting them periodically, Carmen and Alyssa would have been in that restaurant for eternity. Although they both were nervous at first, they easily found their comfort with one another. A familiarity that had already existed because of their friendship now only seemed to be strengthened. They talked as if nothing had changed. Even when Carmen placed her hand in Alyssa’s as it rested on the table, all Alyssa did was smile and interlock their fingers. Then she kept talking. They only referenced the previous night just once.
“Are you…mad at me?” Carmen asked the question casually.
“What do you mean?” Alyssa was confused.
“About last night,” Carmen looked away nervously. “Are you mad that I kissed you? That we—”
“I’m not mad at you,” Alyssa answered, not letting Carmen finish.
“What I said last night—I meant what I said. I really do have feelings for you. And I know you probably think I’m just confused or…or that I…” Carmen began struggling with words just like she had done this morning. “But I’m not confused, I just—”
Regretting that she hadn’t done it earlier, Alyssa leaned over the table and kissed Carmen while she was mid-sentence. It was quick, but powerful, causing the electricity to return to both of their bodies. “I’m not mad. Okay?”
“Okay.” Carmen beamed from ear to ear.
That was all that needed to be said. That was all that mattered.
They finally left the restaurant a little more than two hours later. Carmen met up with Shannon earlier and was dropped off at the restaurant. So, of course, Alyssa told her she would take Carmen back home.
“We could walk around the harbor, if you don’t want to go home right away.” Alyssa said as they got into her car. “It’s so beautiful out this afternoon; we should enjoy it before it ends.”
“We could do that.”
“Well, we don’t have to,” Alyssa sensed Carmen didn’t feel like walking. “What do you want to do?” She turned her head to Carmen who was already staring at Alyssa from the passenger seat.
“Whatever you want to do.” The implicit meaning behind her words was clear to Alyssa.
They stared at each other for what seemed like forever, until Alyssa leaned towards Carmen, her elbow on the armrest between them. Carmen quickly met her halfway and their lips touched again. As if their kissing had never stopped, all the passion and heat from last night returned to their bodies. They caressed each other’s faces while their tongues massaged each other. Carmen gently bit Alyssa’s bottom lip then moved her head back slightly making Alyssa move closer just so their lips could touch again. Alyssa started kissing Carmen’s neck and her hand moved under Carmen’s dress and grabbed her thigh, pulling Carmen closer to the driver’s side of the car.
Alyssa managed to break the kiss but kept her face touching Carmen’s. “Let’s go to my place,” she whispered, breathing heavily. Her house was only five minutes away.
Carmen just nodded, sticking her tongue out to graze Alyssa’s lips before they kissed again. She was actually thinking, Let’s just do it here, but quickly realized they were in broad daylight and maybe parking lot sex was farther down the “things to do with Alyssa” list.
They continued kissing and groping each other for a while, neither having enough strength to stop. It wasn’t until a car pulled into the empty space next to them and they heard the car doors opening that they paused and looked over. It was a middle-aged couple. The woman tried her best to look away from Alyssa’s car, while the man flashed a quick smirk in their direction before joining his partner.
Alyssa and Carmen both giggled. “Maybe we should go,” Alyssa said, turning the key in the ignition.
“Yeah,” Carmen agreed. She fixed her dress and sat down in her seat. “Don’t want to give them a show.” They both snickered.
Alyssa quickly pulled out of the space and drove her car around the parking lot to exit. Once she was on the main road, Alyssa found herself going slightly above the speed limit. All of sudden, her house was farther away then she liked it to be. To make matters worse, she seemed to be getting all the red lights and caught behind slow drivers.
“Oh you’ve got to be kidding me.” Alyssa had reached the last red light exasperated.
“Hey,” Carmen smiled seductively. She leaned over and kissed Alyssa, biting Alyssa’s lip again. “We’re almost there,” she whispered. She leaned back to her side but grabbed Alyssa’s right hand at the same time. Keeping her hand on top, Carmen guided Alyssa’s hand up her thigh, pushing the bottom of her dress up. Just as she had done last night, Carmen let Alyssa feel how wet she was by pulling her panties to the side and pushing Alyssa fingers inside her pussy. Carmen let in a sharp breath but she looked at Alyssa the whole time, never moving her eyes away from hers. She took Alyssa’s hand out from under her dress and brought it to her face. Carmen licked each finger before placing Alyssa’s index and middle fingers in her mouth and sucking them in and out.
Alyssa closed her eyes and breathed heavily. Her pussy was throbbing now. “You’re going to make me crash this car.” She spoke in a low, raspy voice.
Carmen smiled and took the fingers out of her mouth. “You can have your hand back now,” she spoke in a sensuous voice. “The light is green.”
Alyssa opened her eyes and shook her head. “You are so bad.” She refocused her attention on the road, pressed on the gas and quickly took off. They were only a few blocks away now.
Once they got to Alyssa’s block, as if the universe felt bad for all the red lights and snail drivers, there was a parking spot right in front of Alyssa’s brick row home. She did the best, rushed parallel parking job she could, turned off the engine, then practically jumped out of her car. Carmen was quicker as she was already making her way around the car to join Alyssa on the sidewalk. Alyssa kissed her before turning to walk up the concrete stairs. She quickly unlocked the door and stepped inside, not realizing that Carmen wasn’t right behind her. When Alyssa turned around, she looked at Carmen who was still standing at the bottom of the stairs, biting her lip and flashing an evil grin.
“Stop teasing and get in here. Now.” Alyssa commanded her.
“Okay, okay,” Carmen giggled. She walked up the steps, slowly still, but once she got to the top, Alyssa grabbed her dress and pulled her across the threshold.
In one sweeping motion, Alyssa slammed her door shut, locked it, and pushed Carmen back against it, kissing her. It was forceful; they kissed each other with a purpose. Their movements were quick but their tongues knew where to land every time they touched. They began undressing each other: Carmen pulled Alyssa’s blazer off, and Alyssa reached behind Carmen’s back to unzip her dress, and then began lifting it up, pulling the dress above her head. Carmen lifted her arms, but when the dress passed her head, she could tell Alyssa stopped pulling. Alyssa held Carmen’s arms above her head while they were tangled in the dress.
“I kind of like you like this,” Alyssa spoke softly. She brought her tongue to Carmen’s lips but pulled back right when Carmen brought her head forward to kiss her. Alyssa was doing the teasing now.
Carmen played along. “Why?”
“Because,” Alyssa licked Carmen’s neck and kissed her collar bone, “I get to do this.” She pushed her right hand into Carmen’s panties, keeping Carmen’s arms pinned with her left. Alyssa’s fingers knew exactly where to go, they had become so familiar with every inch of Carmen’s body. “And you can’t stop me.”
Carmen moaned the instant she felt Alyssa’s fingertips on her clit. Alyssa was right. Carmen couldn’t move her arms and her legs were getting weak. Alyssa was in control and Carmen couldn’t stop her if she tried.
“Do you want me to stop?” Alyssa whispered in her ear.
“No,” Carmen groaned and shook her head, “don’t stop.” Alyssa was slowly massaging her clit and kissing her neck. It was driving Carmen crazy not being able to touch her.
Alyssa brought her face back up to Carmen’s and their forceful kissing resumed. She lifted the dress completely off, freeing Carmen’s arms, but her fingers kept moving in slow circles around Carmen’s clit. Carmen immediately began unbuttoning Alyssa’s jeans and then tugged on Alyssa’s t-shirt, forcing her to stop massaging so Carmen could get the shirt and bra off. Once she was free of the clothing, Alyssa returned her hand to its favorite place. They kept kissing. Even in the chaos of trying to get each other’s clothes off or in the middle of their moaning, they made sure they brought their lips back together.
Alyssa pulled Carmen by the waist, away from the door. She intended to walk towards the stairs, but Carmen moved towards the sofa instead. Carmen pushed her down and immediately straddled her. “This seems a bit familiar,” Alyssa joked, referencing how Carmen had her pinned on a sofa last night.
“I kind of like you like this,” Carmen whispered, mimicking Alyssa.
Alyssa grinned and reached her hands around Carmen to undo the clasps in her bra, releasing her perfect breasts and hard nipples. Alyssa quickly brought her mouth down on one, sucking the nipple and licking around the breast. Carmen leaned back, moaning in ecstasy, and Alyssa wrapped her arms around her to hold Carmen close while she slowly moved her tongue to Carmen’s other breast, making sure she didn’t neglect it.
“Uhhh. Alyssa,” it was a whispered moan Carmen managed to get out, “I…want you…inside me.”
Alyssa’s favorite words. She had thought about Carmen saying “I want you” all morning and the words still had some kind of power over Alyssa. She looked up at Carmen, who was biting her bottom lip with her eyes closed, and then she slowly slid her right hand back into Carmen’s panties. She briefly grazed Carmen’s clit with her fingertips before she reached farther and slid two fingers inside Carmen’s pussy.
Carmen gave a high-pitched moan of approval.
Alyssa kissed and licked her breasts one more time before she leaned back onto the sofa, slightly separating their bodies. She watched Carmen grind her hips as Alyssa’s fingers penetrated her. Alyssa bent her thumb so it could be on Carmen’s clit then rubbed circles around it while moving her fingers in and out. She could feel Carmen’s body shiver as her hips moved faster. Alyssa brought her left hand up to caress the side of Carmen’s face and Carmen grabbed her fingers and started sucking them just as she did in the car.
They stared at each other, communicating silently as Carmen’s thrusts got faster. Alyssa moaned with her, aroused from watching Carmen get closer to her climax. She frantically rubbed her thumb from side to side on Carmen’s clit, and it sent her over the edge.
“Ahhhh-ahhh-hhh!”
Carmen’s voice trembled along with her body. She leaned forward to grab Alyssa so she could keep her body steady as the spasms shot through it. Alyssa brought her face to Carmen’s, sticking her tongue inside Carmen’s mouth while she moaned. Carmen had to catch her breath first, letting Alyssa’s tongue flick hers until she could kiss her properly. They kissed slowly, Carmen’s body still quivering. Alyssa carefully slid her fingers out of Carmen’s pussy and brought her hand up to Carmen’s mouth. Carmen licked the sticky fluid and then opened her mouth wider so that she could suck the juices off of Alyssa’s fingers.
Carmen flashed that evil grin again.
“Upstairs,” Alyssa ordered.
They quickly got up off the sofa. Alyssa grabbed Carmen’s hand, leading her up the stairs and then turned the corner to go into her room. Alyssa’s master bedroom was bigger than Carmen’s room at her apartment. There was a queen-sized bed with a dark cherry, wooden frame in the center of the tidy room right across from the doorway. The windows behind the headboard were dressed in wooden blinds which were similar in color to the frame. They were slightly opened, letting the sun rays from the bright afternoon seep into the room at different angles.
Alyssa walked over the foot of the bed and turned around. She quickly peeled her jeans off, the only thing Carmen didn’t get a chance to take off of her. She slid her bikini briefs down and Carmen slid her soaked panties off as she watched Alyssa. Once they both were completely naked, Carmen walked over to Alyssa and they continued the forceful kissing that had started at the front door. Alyssa grabbed Carmen’s firm butt cheeks while Carmen squeezed Alyssa’s breasts. She licked Alyssa’s nipples before she playfully shoved Alyssa back onto the bed.
Alyssa giggled, “Feisty today, are we?” She pushed herself farther up the bed, turning to push her decorative pillows onto the floor.
Carmen bit her lip, giving a sly grin as she climbed onto the bed, crawling towards Alyssa until she was kneeling between her legs. Alyssa had two tattoos on her lower hips: three quarter-sized stars on her right side, and red lips on her left. Carmen bent down and kissed the left tattoo, matching her lips to the imprint. Alyssa’s body shuddered.
Carmen looked up at Alyssa and smiled. She sat up, still on her knees, and stared at Alyssa while she lightly brushed her hand down Alyssa’s pussy. She had a neatly trimmed patch of hair at the top, shaped similar to a triangle which pointed towards her clitoris as if to say “this way.” The rest of her pussy was smoothly waxed, and when Carmen brushed her hand back up, her short fingernails grazed Alyssa’s outer labia.
Alyssa shuddered again and chuckled, “You are such a tease.”
Carmen grinned, “I like teasing you.” It was the truth. Carmen enjoyed doing things she knew would excite Alyssa. She never had that kind of effect on her boyfriends before. At least they didn’t show it.
Alyssa put a pillow under her head and then grabbed Carmen’s arm pulling her forward. Carmen kissed Alyssa briefly, trying not to be rerouted from her initial destination. She brought her head down, stopping at Alyssa’s tattoos to kiss them again. She looked up at Alyssa who was watching her, flashed a teasing smile one more time, and then stuck out her whole tongue, placing it at the base of Alyssa’s pussy and slowly gliding it up past her clit.
Alyssa gasped and her body gave a quick tremor. “Ohhh, fuck.”
Carmen showed a pleased smirk on her face. She stuck her tongue out again, this time licking Alyssa’s inner pussy lips and sucking on them. Alyssa moaned and trembled. Her tremors came in pairs. She’d shudder twice before her muscles would relax until Carmen put her tongue back on Alyssa’s pussy, then her body would jerk twice again.
“Uhhhhhhh.” Alyssa propped herself on her elbows so that she could watch Carmen.
Carmen was looking up at her too as she kissed Alyssa’s pussy then sucked on her clit. Carmen licked the hood of her clit before sticking out her tongue again and gliding it up and down Alyssa’s pussy.
“Ohhh-hhh, fuck, that feels so good…” Alyssa closed her eyes as she moaned.
Since she liked it, Carmen kept doing it. She slid her whole tongue up and down, making sure she lingered a little on Alyssa’s clit before sliding her head back down again. Alyssa opened her eyes once more and looked down at Carmen. She started grinding her hips, producing the up and down motion herself while Carmen kept her tongue out and her head still. Alyssa bit her lip as she fucked Carmen’s face. It was so erotic. After a few more hip thrusts, Carmen put her mouth around Alyssa’s clit and massaged it with her tongue while sucking so that her mouth was glued to Alyssa’s pussy.
Alyssa fell back on the pillow, arching her back. “Fuck, I love your tongue right now.”
Carmen giggled a little, lifting her head. She reached her left hand up, squeezing Alyssa’s breast and nipple. Carmen brought her other hand up and squeezed Alyssa’s pussy lips together, making her clit protrude a little. Carmen licked the crease of Alyssa’s pussy as she squeezed, flicking the clit with her tongue.
“Ohh-hhh my god,” Alyssa gasped. “Fuck! You are so good at this.” Alyssa still couldn’t believe Carmen didn’t need much guidance on what to do down there. She’s a fucking pro, Alyssa thought to herself.
Carmen smiled, happy that she could please Alyssa as much as Alyssa pleased her. “I want you to come for me.”
“I’m going to,” Alyssa moaned, her voice trembling, “don’t stop.”
Carmen stopped squeezing Alyssa’s pussy but kept her tongue on Alyssa’s clit, massaging it and kissing it like she had done before. Alyssa grabbed Carmen’s left hand, which was still pinching her nipple, and interlocked their fingers. Her tremors stopped coming in pairs as her whole body shook. Alyssa stared into Carmen’s eyes, watching her head bob up and down as Alyssa thrust her hips faster. When Alyssa felt herself about to burst, she reached down and grabbed Carmen’s head.
“Ohhh fuck! Yeah…yeah,” she moaned loudly then gasped, “uhhhhhh!” A jolt went through her body as she came. She winced a little; the orgasm was strong. While she could still feel her body exploding, she sat up slightly and pulled Carmen’s face up. “Come here.” Alyssa pulled Carmen until she fell on top of her and they kissed passionately. Alyssa’s body was still shaking, her orgasm not fully over yet.
Carmen laughed a little between kisses. “Did you enjoy that?” She couldn’t get over how excited Alyssa had become.
“Mmhmm.” Alyssa confirmed. Then she quickly flipped their bodies over, so that she was on top of Carmen. “But you are in so much trouble now.”
Carmen flashed a devious grin across her face. “Oh, really?”
“Yeah,” Alyssa reciprocated Carmen’s sly smirk and sat up. “Turn around.”
Carmen bit her lip in anticipation. Best lunch date ever.

“Okay…Megan Fox, Christina Hendricks, or Michelle Rodriguez?”
They were in Alyssa’s bed, cuddled closely to one another. Their legs were tangled together as they both lied on their sides under the soft bedsheets. Carmen and Alyssa never left the house. Once they finished their “afternoon snack,” as Alyssa called it, they took a quick nap before waking up a little after six o’clock, both feeling hungry. Neither felt like going out again, so they showered, put on some comfortable clothes from Alyssa’s wardrobe, and headed down to the kitchen, eating whatever they had an appetite for.
After watching random movies and playing silly games that Carmen thought up, they went back up to Alyssa’s room where their kissing quickly turned into more passionate sex. They finally collapsed onto one another and were now lying face to face, holding each other, drifting in and out of sleep. Then only thing keeping them awake was another of Carmen’s silly games.
Alyssa sighed, “Carmen, come on. This is so dumb.”
Carmen chuckled, “Just pick one. Humor me.” They both spoke softly, their faces only separated by a few inches.
Alyssa sucked her teeth, her heavy eyes closed from exhaustion. “Michelle.”
“Hmm, interesting. Why?”
“She’s Latina, right?”
“Well, if the name didn’t give it away,” Carmen said sarcastically.
Alyssa laughed. “Well, I’d do her. She’s probably like you in bed.”
Carmen frowned. “Just ‘cause she’s Latina?”
“No, because she probably speaks Spanish when she’s having sex,” Alyssa slightly opened her eyes, “like you do.”
“I only did that once.”
“Sweetie, you did it earlier today, last night, and a few minutes ago,” Alyssa reminded her.
“Last night? I don’t remember that.”
“Maybe it’s because you blackout whenever you start coming,” Alyssa teased. Carmen had pretty powerful orgasms. Alyssa thought the first time was just due to circumstance until it kept happening.
Carmen, who felt a little embarrassed, pinched Alyssa’s arm. “I do not black out.”
“Owww!” Alyssa frowned. “What?! I think it’s cute.” She laughed at Carmen’s blushing.
“Whatever.” Carmen pretended to be angry then smiled and caressed Alyssa’s arm where she just pinched her. “Sorry.” She stared at Alyssa, who closed her eyes again, ready to drift back to sleep. “What do I say?”
“I’m not the one who speaks Spanish,” Alyssa snickered.
“I mean, does it sound weird?”
“No. Whatever you’re saying, it sounds really hot.” She lifted her head and kissed Carmen on the lips before laying it back down on the pillow. “I like it. It’s very sexy.”
Carmen smiled. “What else do you like? About me?”
Alyssa lifted her eyes, “In bed or just in general?”
Carmen pondered. “In general.”
Alyssa looked at her for a moment and joked at first, “Your tongue, definitely.” They both laughed.
“Be serious!”
“Okay,” Alyssa giggled. She stared at Carmen for a brief minute then replied, “Your eyes. When I first met you, that was the first thing I thought about,” Alyssa remembered. “I said to myself, ‘Damn, she has beautiful eyes.’ And I thought you were really sexy.”
Carmen smiled. “Really?”
“Yeah.”
“So, did you have a crush on me this whole time we were friends?”
“In the beginning, I did,” Alyssa replied honestly. “Then I found out you were straight and I thought, ‘That sucks. Oh well.’ I have a strict ‘no-straight girl’ policy.” Alyssa paused and looked at Carmen. “Well, had a strict policy.”
Carmen chuckled but the statement made her a little uneasy. Am I a lesbian now? She tried thinking back and couldn’t remember any other women she was sexually attracted to before Alyssa. But if she enjoyed sex with a woman, that must make her a lesbian or at least bisexual. Carmen decided that one thing was for certain: she loved Alyssa. Whatever label she had now because of her feelings, she’d gladly accept it.
“Hey,” Alyssa interrupted Carmen’s thoughts by caressing her face, “what are you thinking about? You get quiet when you think.”
Carmen smiled and then tensed up, nervous about what she was about to say.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” Alyssa noticed Carmen’s body language had suddenly changed. She shifted and sat her head up on her left arm, now slightly above Carmen.
“Alyssa,” Carmen paused before proceeding, “did you mean what you said to me last night?”
Alyssa gave a confused look. “Did I mean what?”
Carmen tried to find the courage to ask her question, just like she found it last night when she told Alyssa about her feelings. “Before you left my apartment, you told me you loved me. Did you mean that?”
Alyssa’s heart started beating so fast, she was sure Carmen could hear it thumping through her chest. She had confessed to Carmen at lunch that she left her apartment in the middle of the night instead of that morning. She still didn’t think Carmen was awake when she whispered the words in her ear.
Alyssa’s non-response made Carmen even more nervous, so she tried to fill the awkward silence with an explanation. “I thought— I thought I was dreaming at first. But when you told me at lunch what time you left, I figured…” her sentence trailed off. Alyssa still didn’t say anything. “Alyssa, I didn’t mean to put you on the spot.” Carmen wanted to bury her face in a black hole. “Forget I ever said anything.” Carmen felt so humiliated; she thought she would start crying that moment.
“You know, when I saw you earlier today,” Alyssa finally spoke. “There was this brief moment when I couldn’t breathe.” Alyssa stared off into space as she described the scene. “You were sitting at the table, not really paying attention at first. But then you looked up, and smiled. Your hair blew in the wind, and your skin was glowing.” Alyssa laughed, “It was like this cliché scene out of movie.”
Carmen smiled, her embarrassment waning.
“That exact moment, it felt like someone punched me in the gut and I couldn’t breathe. You were so beautiful.” Alyssa looked at Carmen. “You are beautiful.”
“Alyssa, you don’t have to—”
“I meant it,” Alyssa said with certainty in her voice. “I was trying to convince myself all morning that I didn’t but the moment I saw you, I knew I meant it. It’s just that,” Alyssa paused. She felt more and more vulnerable, and it made her uncomfortable. When she looked into Carmen’s eyes, though, they told her she was in a safe place. “I’ve felt this way about someone before, Carmen. Felt like I couldn’t breathe. It started out as something good, but turned into something horrible and I’ve been able to avoid that feeling for a while. Feeling this way about you now scares the hell out of me.”
Carmen was staring into Alyssa’s eyes. She knew it took a lot for Alyssa to say those words. Carmen stroked Alyssa’s cheek, moving some of her long, dark brown hair out her face. “I love you, Alyssa. You don’t need to be afraid because the way I feel about you is never going to change.”
Alyssa leaned down and kissed Carmen, pulling her body closer as they embraced. “I love you too,” she whispered.
That was all that needed to be said. That was all that mattered.
