Absent love

They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder
Who In God’s name has had to wait this long
Waiting to know she is safe
Waiting just to know
Fear wears the clothes of the unknown
Sometime dressed in rags
Sometimes dressed in the emperors finest
Fear distracts
Fear defeats
Hope comes like a breath of air
Like wind sweeping through trees
Rustling branches
Caressing everything it touches
Hope,
Hope foretells of love
And love
Love conquers all
Then she returns
stealing her way gently to my bed
My missing lover
Separated by fate
Returns to sate her passion
To meet my need
Could I love her more than now ?
Not today
But tomorrow yes, yes I can
For my lover, is my world
And each day my love
Is renewed, refreshed
And more perfect
