Our frisson

Our beating hearts

An inaudible chant

A fantasy drawn

in starlight

And our scent

glistening on the

curve of your lips

You moan

my name

The breaths we take

As I take

what I want

all night long

Perfectly imperfect

your form

shop soiled by life

Yet you made me

freeze mid-step

Though I only

got a glimpse

of your soulful eyes

I stopped

captivated by your smile

a writer at a loss for words

I watched helplessly

as you sauntered by

Thank heaven you stopped

I miss you

when you’re busy with life

I wonder where you go

as you tuck away

the pleasures

I bring in humble offering

So I sit and wait

learning to be patient

yet eager for your presence
