~ A Glow Lights The Heart
At first in time, there is no glow
The seed of lust has yet to grow.
There’s no burn, the heart is calm,
Thought and reason are the balm.
And as the first connection forms,
Reason reigns with all the norms.
Then mind meets mind, reason stills
Heart and mind have different wills.
And in the distance, a first faint glow
As lust’s first leaves begin and grow.
A slow burn, now a start
Reason fails, now all heart.
Thoughts are shared, a bond will form
Unbidden thoughts become the norm.
With these thoughts, comes the panic
As feelings grow, and move to manic.
By then the glow, no longer faint
Much more longing, less restraint,
A glow once faint, now lights the heart
And seduction’s off to a blazing start.
A once-slow burn is now quite bright
In heart and mind, all things feel right.
