New Loves, New Blossoms

Font Size

You awake one morning and there it is,
A flower bud waiting to burst and bloom.
Anticipating beauty, Nature’s kiss,
Gaia awaits it like a brand new groom.

Flowers are female, this is very true,
But the male is there doing its duty.
So know that both genders are coming through
When you gaze upon a blossom’s beauty.

Finding a new love is like planting seeds
For flowers to grow in the days ahead.
Sharing your hopes, all your dreams and your needs
You water the garden, you feed the bed.

Soon enough your efforts are rewarded
As both of you touch and two lips are kissed.
Reaping the bounty nature accorded,
You feed and nurture, and nothing is missed.

Each of us may be a simple monad,
A singular bloom growing in the sun,
But loving forms a beautiful dyad,
Creating from two buds a lovely One.
