The Stranger

"When the body changes, what do I inhabit?"

Font Size

Beneath my toes

Nails painted blood red

Abyss

A vacuum opens

My soles can’t touch down

For the moment

I wear my flesh

Like a stranger’s

My fingers trace the outlines of my bones

As if to find the ground

Trails of warmth

Are left behind

Shooting stars

Blood flows past the hollows

There is only fullness there

A light throb and thump against my fingertips

Reminding me

I’m yet alive

My bones are rock and stars

My flesh still hangs

Only my toes..just those blood red toes

Dangle

Now
