A Goodbye

"for the passing of the wonderful Robin Williams"

Font Size

Trembling leaf falls,

As all must who live or die.

A blessed life ends, and

(passing through the needles eye)

It is one with the ocean,

And the stars in the sky.

Suddenly, time too tall

For the glorious loss,

(which no one mourns but me)

Is too strong,

And summers swollen heart is gone.

For those who live life unadorned,

The beauty wrecks the tattooed wall,

And no one writes but me,

Amid the autumn

summer free.
