A Love That Never Ends

Grandpa loved Grandma,
He gave her his heart and got everything the world promised in return,
Grandpa never wished for anything more, because he had everything he wanted anyway.

I want to be loved like that, a love that never ends,
A song that never goes unsung,
And a dream that never ends.
Something more than just illusion – something real that I can hold on to.

Grandma met Grandpa and she never let go,
She held on tight through all the ups, all the downs.
True, it wasn’t perfect, but it was just about as close as it can get.

As the years go by, and the tears roll down,
I look back and can’t help but smile remembering them,
My Grandma and Grandpa through celluloid memories
And I realise I want to be like that.

Without them, I wouldn’t have ever found it in me to believe in something more,
Because god knows I have seen trouble and I’ve seen pain,
Still, through it all, I remember Grandpas love and Grandmas eyes,
And even if I fade today,
Even if I end in pain,
I’ll know that everything we live is not in vain,
I’ll remember them for forever and a day.
