Fisher man

"The ocean made me do it, my muse ?"

Font Size

She was falling from the sky
He was fishing by the shore
Casting nets for fish
Hungry for a score.

She dropped into the sea
Mingled with the sharks
Swirled along with eels
A sparkled fallen star.

Long and lovely fingers
Reaching for the twinkling cast-out.
Dark and lonely fingers
Dipped deep and pulled her out.

Night sea air encompassed her
Breath filled her sparkled lungs
He held her up to the moon
His glimmering new love.

They both came alive
She fed upon his wishes
Hungry for his love
Desperate for his kisses.

One must not get too comfortable
Tales of love sometimes go amidst
The fisherman was a fisher
He got caught up in the mist.

He dropped her to the grains
Left her lonely in the sparkling sand
Star asked, “Why are you so cruel?”
He answered, “I am just a fisherman.”
