She stands on the edge of a virtual cliff
inching closer with each new day
Thinking life is just getting too difficult
and no one would miss her anyway.
Taking another step closer
feeling the pain closing in
not just her own
but those she holds most dear to her heart.
Starring out she thinks
about how she will miss them
some have been more like family
than her real blood ones.
Her mind then drifts to him
about how they haven’t known each other long
but how slowly each day their friendship grows
and how special he is becoming
She doesn’t think he fully understands
that slowly he is becoming
someone she depends on, her rock as some may say
who with each smile and hug, brightens up her day.
She turns and walks away from edge
realizing the little gestures acts of kindness and love
which he does for her
she reciprocates and does in turn for others…
