Looking at the blank page in front of her
She realizes that she could fill it a million times over
With all her thoughts and emotions
Currently running through her veins.
But what is it that she feels she really needs to say
Is it thank you for the all the love and support?
Or maybe that she’s sorry?
No, it is all that and more…
You see as much as she is going to fight
With all she believes and all the love she holds dear
She has realized maybe not today or tomorrow
Or anytime soon, she will need to say a final goodbye.
She hears him come in
She tosses aside the book
As he sits beside her pulling her towards him
Then wrapping her in his arms.
She snuggles against holding him tight
realizes it’s him, she needs to thank
for standing beside her and never giving in
But for teaching her it was safe to love again.
She looks up seeing both his love and the pain
Now knowing that he is her weakness
But also, his love is her greatest strength
As he smiles and whispers, “It’s going to be alright beautiful!”
