Sitting on the front porch swing
Rocking to and fro
Lost in her thoughts
As the cool breeze blows, chilling her to the bone
She pulls his shirt tighter around herself
As she reads through their old messages
Searching for answers
Trying to understand the silence
His scent surrounds her
Not finding any reasons
The tears stream down her cheeks
Leaving them to stain
As she closes her eyes tight
Not knowing or understanding
How or why things changed overnight between them
She walks inside, looking at her reflection in the mirror
She sees the answer looking back at her
She just wasn’t good enough for him
