Sky full of Stars

"Everything reminds me of you when I look into the nights sky"

Font Size

Last night, tonight or tomorrow night
I look towards the heavens
On a cold crisp, clear frosty night
Amidst a bleak midwinter.

A flashback of deepest memories,
An involuntary influx of happiness
From the decades of dreams fulfilled
To a future of more to come.

In vast constellations of a billion stars,
Like a giant glitter-ball
Of hundreds and thousands of tiny flecks of stardust
That sparkle in your big beautiful eyes.

Which captivated, drew me towards you,
Hypnotised under your spell,
Caught by the love bug lure
From the wire on your pole.

A white flag rises to my sweetest surrender,
To the seven heavenly virtues
For which my patience was tried and tested
Like a vintage French champagne.

A magnum bottle, filled to the brim,
Corked and ready to pop
As the sweet bubbles flow towards the top,
As a mighty river meanders through the valleys

Towards the canals of the Venetian romance,
As we float blissfully unawares on a gondola
While being serenaded by the gondolier
As the waterways turn a crimson red

From the blood that flows in my veins,
That flows from the heart on my sleeve.
Every time that I bleed, I grow stronger
In the knowledge that I will always have you

Like a tattoo on my shoulder,
Always be there to remain.
A permanent reminder of my love
That I share with you forever.

As I hold you in my arms for an eternity,
To never let you go and to prosper
In a future of many riches
As we take the night and grab it by the horns.

Last night, tonight or tomorrow night
When I stare into the night’s sky,
Every single star that twinkles in the darkness
In the sky full of stars, reminds me of you.
