I stopped at my favorite coffee place. It was jammed, which was unusual in this time of minimum contact. I managed to grab a tiny table and was enjoying my coffee when a woman asked to share my table.
“I’m Brooke,” I said as we introduced ourselves. We talked for quite a while, leaning in close because of the noise. She even smelled better than my coffee.
Suddenly she asked, “Are you a lesbian?”
I never know how to answer that question, so I kissed her.
Turned out she was surprised by my answer because she wasn’t — yet!
