Our eyes locked each other’s
Over twenty five years ago.
I was singing on stage,
In the middle of a show.
You looked so beautiful,
With your smile and big brown eyes.
I kissed and made love
With you, until the sunrise.
You were attached,
Married to another man.
But I didn’t care,
I didn’t give a damn.
Because I fell head over heels
In love with you that night.
Everything just seemed,
So perfect and right.
I moved out of state,
Left and went very far away.
I guess I thought the distance,
Would put my love for you at bay.
But neither time nor distance,
Has changed a single thing.
My love for you is still like a
Brand new flower, at the beginning of spring.
