I wander around the store doing my weekly shopping
Watching the men picking out that perfect Valentine’s Day gift.
It may be candy, flowers, a card, a stuffed animal
Or combination of all four.
Those women do not know how lucky they are
To have such loving men in their lives
That take the time to show them they are loved
My heart aches and I want to cry
As I have no one to shower me
With love and gifts on this Valentine’s Day.
I do not ask for much,
Just for someone to show me that I am special and loved
On Valentine’s Day.
