About ten years ago the patio at my French house was looking a mess. It hadn’t been laid level and the thin tiles had started to break up. We decided we would have decking. Some friends down the road gave us the number of an English guy who had done some carpentry at their gite complex. So we phoned him, he came over and gave us a quote and so he started a few weeks later.
So we chatted, as you do, my partner took a beer out now and again. On one day he had forgotten something, I can’t remember what, but he phoned his wife and asked her to bring it over. About forty-five minutes later a lady came walking up the garden, his wife Jules. We sat and chatted while her husband carried on. We asked if they wanted to stay for dinner but they couldn’t that night but would take a rain check. Anyway, we became good friends after that. Her husband goes to play pool and have a few beers and Jules goes for a swim and lunch every Friday if she can. A year ago (2017) I asked if I could go swimming with her and she said no problem. So our routine was, sauna at 11.30 and a swim when the pool was open to the public at twelve, then we’d go for lunch. So every Friday I was in France this was my routine.
Anyway last spring we were getting showered after swimming and Jules turned and said, “I’ve caught my chain in my hair, see if you can untangle it.”
I walked over to her and stood behind her. “Let’s have a look,” I said. The chain was so fine it had really got fowled up and took a while to untangle it. “There, all done,” I told her and kissed her on the shoulder, just like a friend would.
She then turned ’round and kissed me on the mouth. I was quite taken aback but it was nice.
“I’m so sorry,” she blurted out, looking like she wanted a hole to swallow her.
“Look, don’t worry about it it’s fine,” I replied.
So we finished getting dressed and as we got to our cars I said, “Are you alright, do you want to talk?”
“I do, but I’m not sure what I should tell you,” she replied.
Behind Lamballe, that’s where we were, the road back to Jules’s place cut through a forest. It had the usual parking spots for walkers. It wouldn’t take me far out of my way.
“Let’s go and park up and have a chat,” I said, “we’ll stop at one of those parking spots on your way home.”
Luckily, the first area was empty so I signalled, pulled in, Jules followed. I climbed out of my car and walked over to Jules’s and climbed in.
We sat in silence for a while then it all came tumbling out. Her husband, though not a bully and had never harmed her, was always putting her down, whatever she said or did. I said we had noticed it but it wasn’t really our business. It turns out she was just lonely and just needed someone to care for her, be nice to her and show her some love. I held her hand and hopefully said all the right things. She seemed to cheer up anyway. She said she had better go so we kissed cheeks and I turned to and opened the door.
“What do you want to do about next Friday, shall I phone you Thursday evening?” I asked her. We weren’t meeting again before the next weekend as couples.
“Yes please, it should be fine but you never know,” she replied.
I phoned her Thursday and Jules confirmed it would be fine for tomorrow.
So the next day we did the same routine, sauna, swim, lunch at the usual place. The lady brought the menus, smiled at us, and disappeared inside. We chit-chatted through lunch and coffee, normal girl and family stuff.
“I wanted to thank you for last week, you were very kind and understanding,” she said eventually, looking at her hands.
I reached across and put a hand on top of hers. “That’s what friends do,” and I beamed a smile at her as she blushed.
The lady cleared our table and came back with the bill on a plate, smiled at us both and left. I wonder if she thinks…
“My turn,” Jules said picking up the bill. I smiled and nodded. Jules caught her eye again waving a card, the lady nodded and went inside. She emerged with her little machine, Jules paid the bill, pleasantries were exchanged and we got up to leave.
As we crossed the square towards our cars, Jules touched my arm, I stopped and we stood facing each other.
“Have you got time to stop again on the way home?” she asked, “I’d like it if you could?”
“Of course,” I replied “Is something the matter?” She fidgeted a little, as if looking for the right words.
“Oh no, nothing like that, I really enjoyed being with you last week where we parked,” she finally exclaimed.
“I’ll follow you, stop where you want to,” I replied, all kinds of thoughts whirring round in my head.
We both went to our cars and drove out the square; it would only take ten minutes. Jules drove past the first area. It was fairly full but pulled into the second one as there was only one other car in there.
When we got out, I said, “park or walk?” It was quite warm so she said, “Let’s walk, it’s a lovely afternoon.”
I reached for her hand, gave it a squeeze, she smiled at me and we set off. After a while, I took a decision that could have meant the end of our friendship. I stopped her, pulled her over and kissed her. My fears soon were gone as she kissed me back very passionately. I leant her against a tree and we both started kissing and groping. I put my hand down to her crotch, she had jeans on (she always seems to) and rubbed her.
She pushed herself against my hand. I took both my hands and undid her jeans and put one hand inside. She kissed me so hard I knew she wanted me. I slipped my hand under her panties and she was really wet. I found her clit and started to rub it and she soon came and kissed me searching for my tongue. We stopped for air, I put her head on my shoulder and held her. She started crying, I let her get it all out, held her tightly. Finally, she stopped, reached into her pocket for a tissue, dried her eyes.
“Are you ok?” I asked her.
She nodded, “I’m fine, sorry about that,” she answered.
I whispered, ” You’d better do yourself up”. She pushed me away, embarrassed, quickly sorted herself out and brushed herself down. I grinned at her. I put her fingers up to my mouth, smiled, and sucked them one by one. Jules watched me, mouth slightly open, fascinated.
“There,” I said as I took the last one out. “All nice and clean; you taste wonderful,” I told her licking my lips. She looked into my eyes, “I’ve never felt like that before, you know, what you did?” she told me shaking her head. ” You were probably just caught up in the moment, it can be like that,” I answered her. “We’ve all had those moments when it overtakes us.”
She shook her head again, “No, this was something I’d never felt before, not with Ken, not with anyone.”
I stepped towards her, held my arms out and she folded herself in against me. I whispered to her, “What do you want to do, we can stop now and things can hopefully be as they were, or we see where this leads us.”
“We have to keep from the others, it’ll ruin everything, I can’t do that,” she told me. I thought my partner would be ok but it was probably sensible to keep it under wraps after hearing about her husband.
“Ok, it’ll be our secret, and either can call time whenever they want and we stay friends, deal?” I decided. ” We have to be careful when we’re in each other’s company and you know it will be hard,” I added.
“We’re going for a meal Tuesday with Bill and Jenny so it will be a test for us,” she explained, “and we’ll see how we handle it. Anyway, I’d better get my skates on, let’s walk back.” This time Jules reached for my hand as we strolled back in silence; I knew she was thinking so didn’t disturb her. We both had a lot to think about now. We arrived back at our cars and stood facing each other.
“Shall I phone you at all?” I asked her.
She nodded “I’d like that”.
We broke apart, the spell was broken for the moment. “Drive safely please?” I pleaded,.
“Of course,” she smiled back. She drove away, I was sad to see her go.
So that is how it started, I’ll continue it with the second part.
