I’ve been horny and hungry driving around this desolate town in the midst of a storm. There’s no available room to sleep in. Even the pump’s twenty-four-hour convenience store and the diner across the street are closed. My sense of adventure is thinning out.
Out of the blue, my hitchhiker asked, “Do you want to tick seven items off your bucket list?”
I agreed.
An hour later, we found ourselves on the rooftop of an abandoned building we passed by. Bonking in the heavy rain, thunder, and howling wind, our adrenaline swooshed with a chance of getting struck by lightning!
