Perfection is boring
That’s what they say!
Yet, a crack in the veneer
Sends them spiralling away.

I want ALL of you!”
They often beg for a taste
Too much for a few.

Perfectly imperfect
With flaws in abundance.
For those who remain
Are ones of substance.

Some scars are apparent
Others more subtle.
I take care of myself
But appreciate a cuddle.

Perfection is unattainable
And often so am I!
Rarely do they stop
To wonder if and why.

So I’ll continue my dance
Perfectly so much more.
And revel in myself
Imperfect to the core.
