Summer in Japan can be extremely hot, especially in the Kansai region. I was visiting there in the summer of 2021. This region encompasses Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara. They are the true soul of Japanese culture. From traditional cuisine to the western-styled mansions on the hills of Nara, it’s the hypocenter of what it means to be Japanese.
One evening after sightseeing in Kyoto, I was much too tired to take the shinkansen back to Osaka. I opened my phone and started looking for hotels while in Kyoto Station. After seeing the prices, I quickly realized they were too expensive. I already spent a small fortune on the bullet train, so I changed my plans. Rather than a hotel, I’ll find a ryokan. They are traditional Japanese Inns used by travelers in the past. They are still popular today with the Japanese.
After looking through several listings, I finally found a room not too far from my location. The ryokan was still unoccupied for the night. I clicked and bought my suite. It was around 8 p.m. when I arrived. As I exited the cab, an elderly Japanese gentleman greeted me and took my bag. As I entered the lobby, I felt a little uneasy. There were old woodblock prints on the walls and Japanese samurai dolls in glass cases. I shook it off and followed the owner to my suite.
The room had traditional tatami floors with dark wooden walls. I noticed old silk scrolls hung ominously from the ceiling. Some were of ancient samurai battles, while others looked to be the Imperial Palace. I walked over to the shikibuton (Japanese bed) to check it out. It was pretty comfortable! After calming down, I decided to play some music before taking my bath.
I closed the shades and began removing my clothes. As I was folding them, I suddenly heard a knock on the sliding door leading into the bathroom. I stopped the music to listen closer, but nothing. I slowly walked over to the sliding door (only in my panties) to investigate. Things seemed normal, so I returned to my bed. Just as I was removing my panties, I heard another knock! I stood there for several minutes, but nothing occurred.
I called my friend in Tokyo, telling her how scared I was in Ryokan. It was around 11 p.m. at this point. I was telling her about the odd knocking in the room and that the other suites were not occupied.
“Well, that should have been a red flag for you,” she said to me. “No other rooms being occupied means it has a reputation,” she said.
“I know, but I was too tired to ride back to Osaka. I decided to get the first affordable room I could find.”
“Just pray, or watch some movies to get your mind off that place,” she said.
“Okay, I will do that. Thank you for making me feel better love.”
“Of course baby girl, you know I love you and miss that cute ass, have a goodnight babes.”
“You as well, love. Goodnight,” I replied.
With that, I was once again alone in the room. She had given me a new wind of courage, so decided to take my bath. I slipped off my panties and wrapped a bath towel around myself. I opened the sliding doors and headed into the bathroom. I turned on the hot water and regulated the temp. Testing the water, it was perfect.
I dropped my towel around my feet and stepped into the shower. The water felt so good on my body. I relaxed under the warm shower letting it flow through my hair. Once I was done, I stepped out and filled the tub. Once full, I stepped in and laid myself down. The sensual soak was refreshing. Laying in the tub, my phone suddenly rang. No number was showing, but I decided to answer.
“Hai, moshi moshi,” (hello hello) I answered.
All I heard was loud static and what seemed to be breathing. I stopped the call and tried to block whoever it was. Finally, I began to enjoy my soak once more. As I was laying out like a princess, I was admiring my figure. Feeling myself from my tits to my belly. Only, I couldn’t shake the feeling I was being watched. I nervously looked around trying to assure myself, but I couldn’t shake that feeling.
After several minutes, I spread my legs and began rubbing my pussy. I was making little circles around my clit and slowly putting one finger inside. As my legs spread wider, I pointed my feet together as I rubbed furiously. I could hear the water splashing as I pleasured myself. A powerful climax occurred quickly, ripping through my body. My knees pressed together. I thought my pussy wouldn’t stop. Catching my breath, I felt satisfied.
Getting out of the tub and wiping myself dry, I walked out of the bathroom and turned off the lanterns. It was now well after midnight. I looked outside and saw the garden glowing in the moonlit night. Walking over to the bed, I reached into my bag getting my silk slip. I slid it over my body and lay down.
After several minutes in bed, I heard a very loud knock on the sliding door again. I jumped up looking back towards the bathroom. I was terrified! It was so loud and intentional. I thought to myself, should I go and ask the owner what is going on here? I was just too embarrassed to tell him what I was experiencing. Rather than explain the impossible, I added one more pillow under my head to ponder.
Laying in bed playing nervously with my hair, I looked toward the entrance door and saw a tall, black figure that seemed to slowly materialize. It became much darker than the room. I let out a long and disturbing scream! After a few seconds, it was no longer there. Looking at the digital clock, it was now 2:45 a.m. I was laying there panting for the sun, but dawn was still a few hours away.
Around 3:10 a.m., I was nearly asleep when felt a cat jump into my bed. I turned on my I-phone flashlight. Moving the light around my bed, I saw nothing. I turned it off and laid back on the pillows. As I rolled over on my right side, I felt a cat walking across my feet! I jumped out of bed looked all around and saw nothing. I was now a nervous wreck. Almost in tears as to why this was happening to me. No sooner, knocking started on the sliding door again, only much louder this time. A sudden surge of anger overcame me.
“Please stop and just leave me alone!” I screamed into the room.
No sooner I showed my protest, I heard what sounded like coins dropping on the floor. Using the flashlight on the phone again, I looked around trying desperately to figure this out. As I turned off the flashlight, I heard what seemed to be a jar lid being turned. This became louder and louder until suddenly it stopped.
I’m now standing there only in my slip, crying and terrified. It was 3:30 a.m. when I felt someone next to me! I could almost feel their breath near my ear. I turned in terror towards what I felt.
“Tasuketekudasai,” (Please help me) someone said in my ear.
I screamed in absolute horror and ran for the door. I’m trying to turn the old knob as fast as possible, but it won’t turn. I try again and again screaming as I do. Finally, it opened (had to unlock it) and I ran into the dingy hallway knocking over a satsuma vase. The hallway was dead silent with little light. I screamed for help hoping the owner would hear me, but I wasn’t sure he was even there.
Looking up and down the hall, I didn’t feel alone. I called out for help several more times while in tears. I turned toward my room when suddenly I saw this tall shadow float out into the hallway. I was walking backward in complete terror and walked right into the wall as it vanished. I turned and now was face to face with an old Japanese woodblock print. It was of a woman in a kimono, holding a jar full of coins! Horrified, I knew I had to get out.
I went running down the hallway screaming my lungs out until I reached my suite. I ran inside and grabbed my belongings. I got dressed as fast as possible when I noticed it was 4:00 a.m. There was just a glimmer of light starting to give birth in the sky. I ran down the hallway and out into the early dawn.
I decided to get a cab and wait at Kyoto Station. When I walked away from the ryokan, I looked back and noticed someone standing in front. I picked up my pace getting as much distance as possible from that inn.
By the time I caught a cab and reached Kyoto Station, the sun was up. The crows were singing and the sounds of humanity were blooming all around. I was exhausted. But thrilled I was on my way home.
