Or so I think,
So I doodle hearts around us with ink.
I hope yours is the heart I have won.
I listen to,
The sounds of love birds,
Watching the pair the thought occurs,
We could be just like those two.
It’s half past three,
I’m still awake,
Cause these feelings I can’t shake.
You don’t know what you do to me.
You make me want even more,
Then just a mere talk.
Maybe together we can walk,
Our arms and legs doubled each to four.
It’s morning at five,
I still haven’t slept.
Because when you left my heart it wept.
You talking keeps my soul alive.
Do you talk with me just for kicks?
Or do you really care?
Are you there?
Time warp again it’s a quarter to six.
Around comes seven,
And now I write,
Somehow I cannot sleep at night,
Awake feeling like I’m in heaven.
I have figured this must be fate,
We fit so perfect,
It makes my life worth it,
Must be the work of the magic ball eight.
In the morning it’s nine,
My thoughts filled with you.
When we don’t talk I get so blue.
But I put on a smile and say “I am fine.”
Time to put down the pen,
Get the sleep I need,
On thoughts of you my dreams shall feed,
As I drift to sleep the clock strikes ten.
I fall asleep,
A smiling face,
My heart seems to leap,
Picking up pace.
I think this is love,
After all it must be,
I wake up to the doves,
Perched on a tree.
Outside the square,
Beyond the frame,
I can see it there,
“It’s real” I claim.
