Silent Loud

"For my first love..."

Font Size

The room is dark
eerie shadows cast upon moonlit walls
The sound of wind
and of sleepers down the hall

Through closed windows
I sense the moonlight glancing off of gliding clouds
I close my eyes
it seems to quiet the silent loud

My mind slips
then begins the long fall
into the spinning corridors
where our love is the law

I do not feel the hopelessness
of a man in ripping tides
for though I fall
I know you’re there, always by my side

I see you then
as you’ve been watching me
I see the love we hold
as only true lovers can see

We approach each other
I gaze in your face
I find your lips tender
as we kiss in a daze

Again and again we kiss
with each more yearning then before
Then, I awaken
I am alone, yet not so alone as before
